Medicare can be confusing; this course will help aid the confusion and navigate learners towards clarity. This course will clarify components to Medicare and the options available for Medicare users. We will look at who is eligible; when to apply; understanding Parts A, B, C, and D; what plans are available; and how to utilize Medicare. Students will understand the plans within Medigap and the coverage. There will be a breakdown of Medicare Advantage plans and how they include Parts B and C. There will also be information regarding Part D and how prescriptions impact the cost. At the end of the course, students will be able to recognize the components of Medicare and the in-depth details of the plans, coverage, and benefits.
The course includes hands-on examples to help demystify the concepts of Medicare. We will reference various real-life examples and handouts will be provided.
