May is high time for roses in California and beyond, and colored pencils are a lovely way to portray their beauty... Spend a couple of hours drawing and painting roses or other spring flowers in your garden. Colored Pencils are a fun, safe, portable, and meditative way to express oneself artistically. We will explore a variety of colored pencil techniques and learn how to blend, burnish, and create new colors while incorporating botanical drawing techniques. We will also play with ways to use watercolor pencils to create a delicate underpainting. All levels welcome.
This is a zoom workshop. We will start with color wheel, color mixing, and then draw and color our flower. The instructor will answer questions throughout the session and provide time at the end to look at student work.
