FADE IN: You sit impatiently in your beat-up Honda at a red light. A shadowy figure slides up in the next lane - IT'S YOU! At least it looks like you. Is that a Glock 19 pointing in your direction? The light turns green, you race away!!! "Hmmm," you think to yourself, "that might make an interesting story."

Do you have a story you'd like to tell? See it on the big screen or Netflix? Opportunities for first-time writers are multiplying at an amazing rate. This course teaches the craft (and art) of writing feature film scripts from the initial premise to the final draft. We cover idea-generation, format, story structure, character development, conflict, scene writing, dialogue, and much more.

Screenwriting is a thrilling, imaginative journey; this workshop presents that craft in an easy to understand manner as we provide a solid, comprehensive foundation. Whether you're looking to break into the film and TV industry, or simply wish to explore the vision you have in your head (and heart), we can help you get your ideas on the page.

Women and people of color encouraged to participate. Specifically designed for online learning.
