Paint on your photos with acrylic paint! Check out the instructional videos and on Monica Bryant's website (www.monikaiart.studio) for instruction. There are so many possibilities. You may be inspired to completely obscure the photograph. You may want to delicately emphasize the subject in the photograph. Like old hand-painted black and white photographs of the past, it is possible to change the photograph only a little. But contemporary smears of paint over a photograph today might be engaging too. On the Friday zoom class introduce ourselves and under paint our photos in preparation for Saturday. On Saturday we will paint, share, and discuss together what we create, using Zoom with the entire class and with small groups. Ms. Bryant will be there by Zoom to answer questions and guide you. Be sure to check out the supply list and make multiple prints of your photographs so that you can experiment. Use color, line, and texture with brushes and drawing tools. You will learn acrylic painting techniques such as glazing and scumbling. Discover mounting options for your photographs. You will have three or four overpainted photographs at the end of class! And the expanded experience of the work of other students!
