The nutrient deprivation caused by the SAD can go unnoticed for years. Chronic brain starvation seriously limits the brain’s capacity to rebound from daily stresses that can drive nutrient deficits deeper. Depression, anxiety and/or mental decline are likely results.
Many medical professionals miss nutritional deficiencies that compromise brain health because they lack advanced nutrition training. This course provides an easy to understand introduction to the science that explains leading nutrition-related root causes of depression, anxiety and mental decline. Effective ways to address these root causes with diet and lifestyle changes are described in detail using an integrative and functional nutrition approach.

Through in-class handouts, visual aids (e.g., foods and dietary supplements), interactive discussion and take-home resources for continued learning, you are equipped to begin a delicious, nutritious whole foods-based ‘brain health’ diet and lifestyle plan.
