Learn the basics of yoga and the many benefits of practicing yoga and meditation. So many people go through their day without taking a moment to check in with themselves or really move their body. We go to work or school, take care of others, but rarely create time to truly take care of our Selves.
As a yoga teacher and self-care advocate, I know how important taking care of ourselves is - mind, body and spirit. Stress can lead to illness and unhealthy life habits. Yoga can help break old patterns and create a sense of peace through mindful body movement and conscious breathing. I have practiced yoga and meditation for years and have experienced the cumulative effects it has had on my mind and body.
In this class we will learn and practice conscious breathing, beginner yoga poses and sequences, and a little history of yoga for a better understanding of the deeper meaning of why we practice. It is a smaller class setting so students will experience a class similar to a private yoga session complete with pose and body alignment explanations and hands on assisting.
