Colored pencils are a fun, safe and portable way to express oneself artistically. We will focus on basics of color theory and color application while drawing spring flowers. Learn to mix and blend colors and to use pencils to create tone and hue. We will cover a variety of techniques including blending, burnishing and impressed line. We will work from a variety of flowers, with a focus on roses.

We will work in class on drawing the flower. I will provide handouts on color theory and ways to draw the flowers. Student will work on the drawing level that is comfortable for them as emphasis will be on color theory, color choices and pencil technique.
