Piloting a Drone: Not For Dummies

ID : 7816
« back to classes page
Flying a drone can be lots of fun; the pictures and video you get from 100’ high are amazing. But piloting a drone involves more than getting one off the ground and is not for dummies! Concerns, including the safety of people on the ground, Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) regulations, fly-away drones, and privacy must all be addressed before taking off.

This course will introduce participants to these issues, and others, to help them make flying a drone a safer, more fun experience. Class topics include safety, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, creating a pre-flight checklist, what to do if you lose control of your drone, autonomous flight modes, care and maintenance of drone batteries, FAA pilot certification and documents.

This is not a hands-on class; no drones will be flown.
