Introduction to LGBTQ History

Through a series of films and discussions, students will be introduced to the emerging field of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender studies. This course will examine the LGBT history from the 1860s to present day including a look at the current LGBT civil rights movement. Each session will feature a film and discussion or activity designed to get participants involved. Course concludes with optional field trip to San Francisco and the GLBT History Museum. Transportation and museum admission is not included in course fee.
