Storytelling – How to Tell Your Story

In this short story telling workshop you will learn how to make your stories come to life for your speeches, story telling events, or just with friends. You will learn how to:

•     Connect with your audience,

•     Simplify, tighten up–leave out nonessential details,

•     Build anticipation,

•     Have a point, stay on point, get to the point–the message,

•     Use gesture, posture, facial expression and the way you move on the stage to bring your story to life,

•     Include action,

•     Include humor,

•     Surprise your audience,

•     Express emotion,

•     Use tone of voice,

•     Wake up the audience,

•     Paint the picture.

 

Come with your favorite story. You will be given an opportunity to tell and improve a story in the workshop.
