Spanish Language through Mexican Pop Culture will be conducted entirely in fluent Spanish. While students of all levels are welcome, it is recommended that students can understand conversational Spanish at least at an intermediate level. The class will immerse students in Mexican Pop culture. Students will read literature and informative text passages, view video clips (including telenovelas), listen to songs (including mariachi), play games (Including lotería), and engage in conversations and activities. Students will analyze the historical origins and social context of Mexican pop culture. This class will be great to take if you would like to dive into the fascinating pop culture of the most populous Spanish-speaking country in the world.
