Tired of playing the same old songs the same old way? Frustrated by a limited knowledge of chords, songs, rhythms, and strumming patterns? This course offers friendly, systematic guidance to develop your guitar playing and musicianship.

Classroom activities include: dexterity exercises; rhythm training; demonstrations; lecture; question and answer; playing together.

Topics include: new chords; new strumming patterns; new songs; scales; improvisation; syncopated rhythms; music theory; walking bass lines; treble ornaments; counting music; reading guitar tablature; navigating song charts; and indentfying notes on the fretboard.

Instructor is patient, inclusive, clear.

Repertoire includes perennial favorites.

If you can play a few chords and songs, and want to become a better guitarist and musician, this class is for you.
