Beginning Blues Ukulele Workshop

Enhance your ukulele skills as you have fun learning the blues. The skills you learn in this session will teach you the basics for jamming with other blues musicians and provide a background for playing other blues related genres including rock. This class is your introduction to blues history and basic theory, the 12-bar blues, pentatonic scale “boxes”, blues rhythm and strumming accompaniment, standard turn-arounds, solo improv, and much more.
Prerequisite: Can easily play basic ukulele chords in the key of C. Ukulele music reading in notation and/or tab.
