Chinese Medicine in the 21 Century brings a tremendous tool into the healthcare approach. Students, patients, medical professionals and loved ones caring for someone special can gain insights that illuminate a person's well-being, be they full of vitality or struggling with health obstacles in their everyday life.
The template used in Chinese medicine is dynamic and has adapted well to modern American living. This class takes the theories established 3,500 years ago and fits them into the conditions you and your community are experiencing today.
After you learn the core of Traditional Chinese Medicine we will venture into examining 21st Century common illnesses such as cognitive decline, anxiety/depressive disorders, diabetes, thyroid imbalances, inflammatory diseases, sleep medicine, immune imbalances and more.
As a professor for 15 years at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College and UC Berkeley, Dennis von Elgg leads dynamic, interactive and highly informative classes that have elevated his students' knowledge and well-being for the rest of their lives.
