Theatre Improvisation is not just for actors! It can be used in everyday life to decrease fear and anxiety, build confidence, and think on your feet. If you're looking for a fun way to discover more about yourself and better engage with others, this is the class for you!
You will learn how to tap into your intuition, increase self-awareness, and cultivate mindfulness through a series of exercises and games. Activities involve both physical and mental trainings that focus on movement, sound, body, voice, and imagination. You will have the opportunity to develop deep concentration and observation skills, and practice the art of “here and now.” Each session starts off with warms ups that get you ready for more in depth work with partners and groups. By the end of the course, you will be able to perform improvisational scenes with confidence, courage, and joy. Outside the classroom, you will be armed with a new toolkit to help you live in the moment.
