« back to classes page
Designed for pressure cooker cooks with some experience this course goes one step farther. This class is not for those new to pressure cooking as little time will be spent on the basics.(Please see Pant-Based Pressure Cooking Basics)
You will learn to go beyond the basics. Perhaps you have heard that you can cook more than one food at a time, or that cooking in another vessel in the pressure cooker is a good thing to do but you just haven't learned to do it - yet.

There will be a discussion of how the physics and science of the pressure cooker works as well as a review of different types of pressure cookers. We will then head into the kitchen to get cooking. The dishes chosen will all be part of more advanced pressure cooking: using tiered cooking and pot in pot techniques. You will learn to produces entire plant-based meals at one time and why timing is everything in pressure cooking. you will learn techniques to slow down cooking when necessary.
