This class will be an introduction to the basics of zen practice and meditation. We will learn traditional zen meditation plus simple mindfulness techniques that promote the living of a more fulfilled, focused and stress-free life. Three evening classes will be held at SRJC and one Saturday class at the Sonoma Mountain Zen Center. The Saturday class will include a zen lecture followed by an informal vegetarian lunch. For the final evening class we will discuss our trip to Sonoma Mountain Zen Center and learn about resources available for maintaining a personal meditation practice.
