This Dental Board of California approved course includes both didactic and clinical application of x-ray safety, film and digital exposure, processing and evaluation. Participants must be currently employed with three months experience as a dental assistant.
If participants will be using film they must provide their own x-ray film (size #2: F-speed) and film holders. If participants will be using digital they will need to provide digital sensor holders. The participants must also provide four patients. Three of these patients will be seen in the participant's dental office (hours as applicable) and one in the radiology clinic at Santa Rosa Junior College. NOTE: 9 hours of the course to be completed in the student's dental office between M-F 12/4/2017 - 12/8/2017.
